Back to Basics: Critical care transport certification review
As far as comprehensive review books go, there aren't too many that can top Back To Basics. With nearly 500 pages of questions with rationales, this is the perfect book for getting you ready for the type of questions you'll see on the FP-C, CCP-C, and CFRN exam. I love this book and keep it with me all the time.
Critical Care Transport
American Academy of Orthopedics Surgeons (AAOS), UMBC, American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP)
If you're looking for a text to help you learn the material covered on the FP-C® or CCP-C® go, this is the text I'd recommend if you can only pick up one. Used a one of the primary resources for writing the IBSC exams, this text covers every category, plus provides step by step explanations for CCT skills, and a comprehensive section covering Lab Values and Diagnostic Studies.
ASTNA: Patient Transport Principles & Practice
A primary resources from the IBSC, this text is another great resource for anyone preparing for the FP-C®, CCP-C®, or CFRN® exam. Although a bit outdated, and lacking a bit of depth for experienced providers, this text does a really nice job presenting the basics of Critical Care Transport in a way that's easy to understand and apply.
The Aeromedical Certification Examinations Self-Assessment Test
This is one of the original texts written specifically to address the FP-C and CFRN exams. With nearly 300 pages of example questions with answers and rationals, this text is one of the best tools available to help you become accustomed to the type of questions you'll see on the exam, and should be in every FP-C or CFRN candidates backpack.
Red Rock Outdoor Gear Assault Pack
After posting a question about drug bags on Facebook, and including this bag which I've used as my drug bag for the past year, I received a ton of messages from others wondering what kind of bag it is and where they could get one, so I've posted it here.
This bag also works great for holding Vent Equipment, i.e. tubing, BiPAP masks, and RAM Cannula equipment
